Pogba tells why Mourinho was fired
Paul Pogba believes Manchester United’s decision to dismiss Jose Mourinho from the position of coach came due to the results of the matches and not because of the strength of the players.
Mourinho was sacked by the club on Dec. 18 after defeating 3: 1 against Liverpool. However, his failure to get the best out of the world champion Pogba has often been seen as a factor for the poor shape of the “Red Devils”.
The on-duty coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has managed to revive the Manchester United team since then and is Pogba’s player who has played a key role in this form with eight goals.
But despite his frenzy with Mourinho, the French midfielder insists that the poor results of the “Red Devils”, not the bad atmosphere in the dressing room, were the main reason why the Portuguese was dismissed from office.
“What were the problems? We were not winning. For this reason, they decided to change the team’s coach. The results are of the utmost importance, “Pogba said, before the match against France against Moldova.
“If we had won, we would have achieved good results and the coach would have held his position. This is all”.
