Former Argentine striker: Messi suffers as Argentine

Former Argentine striker Martin Palermo has defended Lionel Messi from numerous criticism and has called on his country to support Barcelona’s wizard.

Messi recently played for his national team in defeating Venezuela, after which he said he would do his best to win something for Argentina.

Palermo has played alongside Messi for Argentina and feels it is time for the country to support the Barcelona star.

“Clearly he is angry and embarrassed by the comments made to him, so we have to show little respect,” Palermo said.

Messi will try to win the first trophy with Argentina in June at the America’s Cup, to be held in Brazil.
