Bayern Munich striker Sandro Wanger has completed the transition to Tianjin TEDA in China’s Super League, the German club announced today.
The 31-year-old has thus ended an 11-year stay with the Bundesliga champion after he himself sought to be released from the contract.
Bayern director Hasan Salihamidzic told that Sandro had demanded his own departure after the attractive offer the Chinese club offered him.
“Sandro Wagner came in and asked us to release him from the contract. He has a very attractive offer from China and we have met the request, “Salihamidzic said.
He thanked him for his time in Bayern, congratulating all the good in China.
“We thank Sandron for the time he has spent with Bayern and we wish him all the best and many successes in the future in China,” he added.
