Spalletti seeks more from Icardi
The Argentine striker scored a goal and made an assistant in the match against Genoa, but his coach wanted him to get more involved in the match.
Inter coach Luciano Spalletti praised Mauro Icard for his appearance after returning to the team of zikaltërve. However, he has announced that he wants even more from the striker.
Icardi had not played for Inter since February 9, after having been taken over by the captain of the club. The move came after his agent and wife, Wanda Nara, disagreed with the club for a new contract. However, last week he returned to club training and last night he played in the match against Genoa.
In this match, Icardi scored a goal and assisted another, as well as having Cristian Romero punished on the red card in the 4-0 Inter result.
This result made Spalletti’s team four points ahead of AC Milan’s rivals in Serie A table. The coach was more focused on his team’s collective performance than the individual Icard.
“My thoughts are for the whole team and for a wonderful and mature look. Players like Mauro always score goals and assists, but it is up to the team to manage the game, “Spalletti said.
“He has to be more involved and more involved with the whole team. The team places it in a position to score. If the work is done by nine players and not ten, less is achieved. ”
“But Mauro played well. He played with great personality and could have scored another goal. “
