Cristiano Ronaldo came to Manchester United’s rescue yet again Wednesday, scoring the late winner in a five-goal Champions League thriller against Atalanta.
Atalanta enjoyed a 2-0 lead at halftime before United mounted a second-half comeback. After goals from Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire, Ronaldo capped off the rally with a towering header in the 81st minute.
The victory moved United into first in Group F, two points ahead of Atalanta and Villarreal.
