Just hours before the January deadline expires, Italian media reported that Chelsea is ready to sell English defender Gary Cahill, to the Italian champion Juventus.
Chelsea has offered Juventus to Cahill and Italian leaders consider the English as a temporary solution after selling Medhi Benatias and Leonardo Bonucci’s injury.
Even the English newspaper, The Evening Standard, confirmed that the Englishman could join Juventus in the form of a loan, if the Italians agree to pay the full salary until the end of the loan.
However, The Evening Standard warns that such a transfer might not even happen, as the 33-year-old’s family does not want to move from home.
Cahill was transferred to Chelsea by Boltoni for 9 million euros on January 16, 2012. As his contract ends this summer, Chelsea is expected to miss it as a free transfer at the end of the season unless contract renewal is reached .
The Englishman has only made one appearances in this Premier League season, under the new coach, Maurizio Sarrin. He has made three appearances in Europe League, where the coach has preferred to cease the players of the first regular formation.
